Banham Zoo visit

Granny took us on a trip to Banham Zoo. We set off at 9.15am to meet our friends (Paul, James, Tom and Matthew) from Doha for a day out. The journey took around 1 hour via Thetford to a tiny place called Banham. It was a great zoo, well more like a safari park set up and zoo type enclosures. The animals were all well cared for, the zoo keepers very knowledgable and the grounds immaculate.

First we saw the penguins getting fed. There was a lot of information shared with us about these penguins that came from South Africa.

Then it was the seals from South Africa who go their turn to get fed.

Our friends arrived then we went on a train ride around the zoo.

Red Panda

Giraffe Skeleton

Meerkat

Douglas the donkey

Eagle

Falcon

My favourite picture of the day being the friendly llama that kept wanting to get close up to the camera

Owen and Erin and friends spent a bit of time playing in the play area while the adults sat in the shade. After a stop at the gift shop so the granny could by her collectors item (a fridge magnet) we head home tired, dusty and hot. I was a great day out!
