It is really pleasant to be outdoors again. Yesterday was a bit on the cool side but today was just perfect. Erin and Owen have been enjoying the toys in the back garden as well as dining al fresco. What a joy to see them running on the grass and playing with the leaves and flowers. Granny has kept the food coming since we have been here so I think the mommy and the daddy will need to do some running around on the grass too!

The Pilgrimage to UK
Now that it is officially summer and the mass exodus of expats had already started from the beginning of June we too boarded the plane to escape the heat and Ramadan.
The flight was very managable. Owen enjoyed the unlimited on-board entertainment on the little screen that emerged from under his seat. He thought this was hysterical and laughed like a drain for at least 5 minutes. Erin had a nap on Brendons lap and then was fired up to enjoy all the activities that emerged from our hand luggage. We were greeted by a happy Granny and Grandpa at Heathrow after 7.5 hours. Once in the taxi and on route to Downham Market Erin fell asleep but Owen was much too excited to see the Granny and eventually fell asleep a short while before we arrived home.
